WELCOME TO THE FUTEBOL UFMG FACILITY

The Federal University of Minas Gerais, founded in 1927, is one of the best Brazilian universities according to ranking sponsored by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and is ranked 551-600th in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings 2016/2017. The university has 4 campuses and has currently over 16000 graduate students. UFMG currently offers 75 undergraduate majors, 77 Master's degree and 63 Doctorate degree programs. The graduate programs in Computer Science at UFMG have received the maximum score (CAPES 7) issued by CAPES (Comissão de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal do Nível Superior - Commission for Post-Secondary School Personnel Improvement), which is an organ created by the Ministry of Education for evaluating and coordinating Graduate Schools across Brazil.

The FUTEBOL UFMG TESTBED is being developed in the Wireless Networks Laboratory, WINET (Wireless Networks). The WINET group is one of the research groups in networking of the Computer Science Department. The WINET group participates in several research projects in the topic of wireless networks, developing new networking protocols as well as contributing to network management and security services for wireless communication. The group has several ongoing national and international partnerships, and our researchers publish in the main conference and journals of the area.
